It has been our experience that in order for learning to take place, there needs to be an element of magic that sparks the spirit and causes us to experience intrigue..........but nothing will really penetrate, fit into our intellect, and be assimilated in meaningful ways if it is missing a component of logic. Learning takes place at the deepest levels when there are both the magic and the logic present. Educators can get lost in the vast universe of striving to have their students learn. It is a challenge to shape a mind, to get an energy moving, to get through whatever might be in the way of access to a person's brain. We provide a compass. This compass allows the educator time and space to assess where things are at and then direct the course of action.
In writing this book, we acknowledge the hard and diligent work of educators everywhere. We have, as a people, a collective experience with educators for we have been the students. We know that teaching is an enormous job -- to bring a spark into the minds of those who may resist, to bring clarity to information where confusion has made it seem the material is immaterial.This book and the accompanying program are applicable to all people, to each one of us, formally an educator or not.
